“There Are No More Refills Left on Your Prescription” dives into the complications of goodbyes what they mean for second chances.

This is an older piece that marks my first publication outside of school literary magazines. I have since edited the poem and become much more confident with the work, though at the time I submitted, it felt like some of my best writing. Now that I’ve had time to reflect and edit, I see that looking at an older piece can help you recognize your own growth and motivate you to move forward and learn even more about your style and technique.
